FAILING AN MOT?
The amount you will have to pay for an MOT Test varies upon which class of vehicle you have. Class 1 motorcycles are *£29.65 although side cars are more expensive.
Cars in class 4 are currently *£54.85 whilst Passenger Vehicles with over 16 seats are currently *£124.50.

What if failure happens?

There is an appeals procedure that you can follow to contest the decision to fail a vehicle, details are available at test centres and online on https://www.gov.uk/getting-an-mot/after-the-test
Most test centres have the capacity to arrange to fix any problems in order to get the vehicle to pass the minimum standard requirements as laid down.

Tyres and Road Wheels
- Tyre condition and tread depth
- Road Wheels condition.
Seat Belts & Supplementary Restraint Systems (SRS)
